New heart device aims to stop deadly rhythms without Long-Term drugs

NCT ID NCT07585968

First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new catheter system (Sphere-9) to treat a dangerous heart rhythm called ventricular tachycardia in 260 adults who have had a heart attack. Participants will receive a one-time ablation procedure to destroy the faulty heart tissue causing the rhythm. The goal is to see if the procedure is safe and prevents the rhythm from coming back for at least 6 months without needing stronger heart medications.
