New therapy aims to help kids find their voice

NCT ID NCT04642053

Summary

This study is testing a specialized speech therapy called Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cuing (DTTC) to see if it helps children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) speak more clearly. It will involve 72 children between 2.5 and 7 years old, comparing those who receive the therapy immediately to those who receive it later. The main goal is to see if the therapy improves word accuracy and helps children maintain and generalize these skills after treatment ends.
