First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special type of scan (SPECT/CT) can measure blood flow in leg muscles of people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) and diabetes. Researchers compared scans from healthy volunteers and patients before and after a procedure to open blocked leg arteries. The goal was to see if the scan can show how well the treatment improves blood flow.
