New scan could reveal hidden cancer spread

NCT ID NCT07457541

First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This early-phase study is testing a new radioactive tracer called 99mTc-HYNIC-FAPI to see how it spreads in the body and whether it can help detect metastatic cancer. Fifteen adults with advanced lung, pancreas, breast, or colorectal cancer will receive the tracer and then undergo SPECT/CT scans. The goal is to measure how well the tracer highlights tumors compared to normal tissue, and to check for any safety issues.
