First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at how people with hearing loss who use hearing aids perceive different sound qualities (timbre) in busy sound environments. Researchers will compare their ability to understand complex sound scenes with that of people with normal hearing. The goal is to identify which sound features are most distracting for hearing aid users. About 75 adults aged 60-75 will participate.
