Calf exercises may slightly affect blood sugar, study finds

NCT ID NCT06427616

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether doing short, moderate-intensity soleus pushups or holding them longer changes blood sugar levels in healthy young adults aged 18-35. 51 participants did one type of exercise, and their blood sugar was measured before and after. The goal was to see which exercise had a bigger effect, but this was just an observation, not a treatment for any disease.
