Can social media messages cure loneliness? major study investigates
NCT ID NCT07005817
Summary
This study aims to understand if encouraging in-person social interactions through online messages can help reduce feelings of loneliness and social isolation in young adults. About 1,900 participants aged 18-29 will complete a 6-week online program that includes social media-style messages and tracking of their location and social behaviors. The goal is to learn what factors make it easier or harder for people to connect with others in person.
