Summary
This study looks at whether people with a rare inherited movement disorder called spinocerebellar ataxia have trouble recognizing emotions or understanding social situations. Researchers will compare 160 patients to healthy volunteers using tests like recognizing facial expressions and interpreting social stories. The goal is to better understand these social challenges, not to test a treatment.
