New drug combo tested to fight rare lymphoma

Summary

This study is testing if a two-drug combination (rituximab plus zanubrutinib) works better and is as safe as a single drug (rituximab alone) for people with a specific type of blood cancer called splenic marginal zone lymphoma who haven't had treatment before. About 122 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment groups for up to two years and followed for three years total. The main goal is to see which treatment keeps the cancer from getting worse for longer.
