Smokers' slower bone healing under the microscope

Summary
This small pilot study aims to understand how smoking affects bone healing after a tooth is pulled and a bone graft is placed. Researchers will compare 12 smokers and non-smokers by taking a tiny bone sample during a later dental implant surgery. The goal is to gather data to plan a larger future study on the differences in healing between the two groups.
