First seen Jun 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at whether offering smoking cessation support to people undergoing tests for lung cancer helps them try to quit. 86 patients from several hospitals took part. Some hospitals offered extra support, while others continued their usual care. The researchers measured quit attempts, motivation, quality of life, and how many people were referred to local stop-smoking programs.
