New study checks if IV fat emulsion prevents nutrient deficiencies in Long-Term patients

Summary
This study looks at the safety of a liquid nutrition product called SMOFlipid in 100 patients (children 1 month and older, plus adults) who need IV nutrition for at least 8 weeks. The goal is to see how often patients develop a lack of essential fats or a liver problem linked to IV nutrition. Researchers will track blood tests to monitor these risks.
