New app aims to help black adults with HIV kick the habit for good

Summary

This study tests whether a specially designed smartphone app can help Black adults living with HIV quit smoking and improve their mental health. About 300 participants across the U.S. will use either the new ESCAPE app, the standard quitSTART app, or just nicotine replacement therapy. The goal is to see which approach works best for stopping smoking and boosting overall well-being.
