Can a photo a day keep the blues away? smartphone study tests mood boost for students

NCT ID NCT07313696

Summary

This study tested whether simple smartphone exercises could improve mental well-being in college and graduate students. Researchers had 259 students try different 3-week photo routines: some focused on capturing positive moments, others took neutral 'day-in-the-life' photos, and a group did nothing. The goal was to see if intentionally noticing and savoring good things each day could reduce depressive symptoms and increase positive emotions.
