First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a smartphone app to guide bowel preparation leads to better results than standard instructions. 488 adults scheduled for a colonoscopy were randomly assigned to receive either app-based education or usual care. The goal was to see if the app helped more people achieve a clean colon, which makes the procedure more effective.
