Summary

This study looked at how well a system called Smartguard works in daily life for adults with type 1 diabetes. The system uses a continuous glucose monitor and an insulin pump to automatically pause insulin when it predicts low blood sugar. Researchers followed 30 people for one year to see how the system was used and how it affected blood sugar control.
