Scientists develop 'Smart Skin' sensor to monitor amputee health

NCT ID NCT07216183

Summary

This study is testing a new wearable sensor system called E-SWEAT that attaches inside a prosthetic socket. Researchers want to see if it can reliably measure pressure, temperature, and sweat chemistry while people with below-knee amputations walk and do yoga poses. The goal is to learn how pressure affects the skin inside the socket to help prevent future problems.
