Could a simpler surgery be just as good for endometrial cancer?
NCT ID NCT04276532
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether taking only a few key lymph nodes (sentinel node sampling) works as well as removing many lymph nodes (standard surgery) for people with middle-to-high risk endometrial cancer that hasn't spread outside the uterus. The goal is to see if the simpler approach can prevent cancer from coming back just as effectively, while possibly causing fewer side effects. About 780 participants are being followed for up to 5 years to compare cancer recurrence and quality of life.
