Summary
This study tested a single dose of the oral drug acoziborole in 35 children aged 1 to 14 with gambiense sleeping sickness, a deadly parasitic disease. The goal was to see if the drug works and is safe in children, offering a simple treatment that could help eliminate the disease. Results will show whether this one-time pill can cure children without the need for long-term medication.
