Can better sleep lower your blood pressure? study investigates

NCT ID NCT04009447

Summary

This study aimed to understand why people with both high blood pressure and insomnia have a higher risk of heart disease. Researchers enrolled 149 adults with these conditions to test if a 6-week talk therapy program for insomnia could improve their sleep. The main goal was to see if better sleep would lead to lower blood pressure at night and identify other possible health benefits.
