Sleep better now, think sharper later: new program aims to fight Alzheimer's
NCT ID NCT03954210
Summary
This study tested whether a 6-week sleep improvement program could help older adults with insomnia. Researchers wanted to see if better sleep could improve memory and thinking skills, and potentially slow the buildup of a protein in the brain linked to Alzheimer's disease. About 200 participants, aged 60-85, were randomly assigned to either receive the sleep program or not, and their cognitive function was tracked.
