First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at how staying awake for 24 hours changes certain proteins in the blood that are linked to Alzheimer's disease. Researchers want to see if these changes differ based on a person's APOE gene type. The study involves 60 healthy adults aged 18 to 40 who normally sleep well. Participants will have their blood tested before and after sleep deprivation to measure Alzheimer's-related markers.
