Summary

This study tested whether taking plasmalogens (a type of fat found in the body) can reduce sleepiness upon waking. 44 healthy Japanese adults who felt sleepy in the morning took either plasmalogen capsules or a placebo daily for 12 weeks. They completed questionnaires about their sleep quality and daytime sleepiness. The goal was to see if the supplement improved how refreshed they felt after waking.
