Summary
This study looked at whether sleeping longer or keeping a regular sleep schedule can improve metabolic health and lower diabetes risk in overweight adults. Eighteen African American men and women who were short sleepers participated. Researchers measured changes in sleep patterns and blood sugar control over 24 days.
