New gel aims to soothe painful rash from cancer drugs

Summary
This study is testing a gel called HT-001 to see if it can safely treat skin problems like rashes, severe dryness, and nail infections that are common side effects of a specific type of cancer drug (EGFR inhibitors). About 152 adult cancer patients who develop these skin issues will apply the gel daily for six weeks. Researchers will compare different strengths of the gel to a placebo to find the best dose for reducing rash severity, pain, and itching.
