Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether adding aluminum to a standard prescription cream (5-FU) works better to treat actinic keratoses—rough, scaly sun-damaged spots that can turn into skin cancer. Researchers will compare the new combination cream to the standard cream alone in 32 adults with these spots on their scalp or forearms. The main goal is to see if the aluminum mix reduces the number of spots more effectively eight weeks after treatment.
