Could sitting too much alter your nervous system?
NCT ID NCT07755332
First seen Aug 10, 2026 · Last updated Aug 12, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether spending long hours sitting is linked to changes in how the nervous system processes sensation and regulates heart rate. Researchers will measure central sensitization, heart rate variability, balance, and cognitive function in healthy adults who sit at least 30 hours per week. The goal is to understand potential connections and differences based on sitting duration.
