Can a simple ultrasound test spot hidden pelvic scarring in infertile women?
NCT ID NCT07416591
First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special ultrasound called saline infusion sonohysterography (SIS) can accurately find pelvic adhesions (scar tissue) in women who are having trouble getting pregnant. About 120 women aged 18-45 who are suspected to have pelvic adhesions will receive SIS, and the results will be compared to laparoscopy, which is the standard surgical method. The goal is to see if SIS can be a reliable, less invasive way to diagnose this condition.
