New drug may offer safer relief for thyroid eye disease

Summary
This study compares sirolimus, a drug that calms the immune system, to standard steroid treatment for active thyroid eye disease. About 60 adults with moderate-to-severe symptoms will receive either sirolimus or steroids to see which works better and causes fewer side effects. The goal is to reduce eye inflammation and bulging.
