New drug could help kidney transplant patients avoid rejection

Summary
This study tests if a new drug called siplizumab can safely prevent kidney transplant rejection better than the current standard treatment. About 120 adults receiving a kidney transplant will be split into three groups: two groups get different doses of siplizumab, and one gets the standard drug. All participants will also take standard anti-rejection medicines. The study will monitor side effects and how well the kidney works for 12 months after transplant.
