3D X-Ray study could speed up dental implant decisions
NCT ID NCT06507709
First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special 3D X-ray (CBCT) can help dentists know when it's safe to place a dental implant after sinus surgery. About 25 adults who need a sinus lift for an implant will get a 3D scan right after surgery and again 6 months later. Researchers will compare the scans to see how the bone changes over time.
