NCT ID NCT07293234
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at whether simethicone, a medicine used to reduce gas during endoscopy, makes it harder to detect H. pylori bacteria. About 100 adults with a positive H. pylori test will be randomly assigned to receive simethicone or a placebo before their procedure. Researchers will compare detection rates using several lab methods to see if simethicone interferes with diagnosis.
