Could your gas pill hide a dangerous stomach bug?
NCT ID NCT07293234
Summary
This study investigates whether simethicone, a common anti-gas medication, might make it harder to detect H. pylori stomach infections during endoscopy tests. Researchers will compare test results from 100 patients before and after receiving simethicone to see if it affects detection accuracy. The goal is to ensure doctors get reliable test results when patients take this medication before their procedure.
