First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special silver-containing foam bandage (Mepilex Ag) can prevent wound infections after a cesarean delivery (C-section). About 480 women having a planned C-section will be randomly assigned to get either the silver dressing or a standard one. Researchers will track infections for 30 days after surgery to see if the silver dressing works better.
