First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study compares two minimally invasive treatments—Silac (laser) and phenol (chemical)—for pilonidal sinus disease, a painful skin condition common in young adults. About 200 participants with primary disease will be randomly assigned to one treatment and followed for 6 months. The goal is to see which method has fewer recurrences, less pain, and faster recovery.
