Summary
This study aims to find genetic differences that explain why some people with sickle cell disease develop immune reactions to blood transfusions. Researchers will compare the genes of 50 participants who have had transfusions, some who reacted and some who did not. The goal is to identify gene changes that cause these reactions, which could lead to better treatments in the future.
