Summary

This study is testing whether an investigational drug called rilzabrutinib can reduce the frequency of painful vaso-occlusive crises (VOCs) in people with sickle cell disease. The trial will involve 192 participants aged 10 to 65 who experience 2-10 painful crises per year. Participants will receive either the study drug or a placebo for one year to compare effectiveness and safety.
