New drug trial offers hope for lupus patients with kidney damage

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental injection called SHR-2173 can help control kidney inflammation in people with active lupus nephritis. Fifty-one participants will receive either the drug or a placebo to compare how well it reduces protein in urine and improves kidney function. The goal is to see if this treatment can better manage this serious complication of lupus.
