First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking a warm shower during labor helps women feel less pain and anxiety, and more comfort and satisfaction. 94 pregnant women in active labor were randomly assigned to either shower or receive standard care. Researchers measured pain, anxiety, comfort, and satisfaction using questionnaires. The goal was to see if this simple, drug-free option improves the childbirth experience.
