New study shows simple exercises can prevent shoulder injuries in young handball stars
NCT ID NCT07146243
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested two shoulder injury prevention programs in 137 teenage handball players (ages 13-19) from a Hungarian academy. Over 18 weeks, players did exercises from either a Swedish or Norwegian program. The study measured shoulder function, control, and injury rates. Both programs helped improve shoulder health and reduce injury risk.
