Faster radiation before cancer surgery: a new hope for sarcoma patients?
NCT ID NCT03819985
Summary
This study is testing a shorter, more convenient 3-week radiation schedule given before surgery to remove soft tissue sarcoma tumors in the arms, legs, or trunk. The main goal is to see if this shorter treatment causes similar or fewer wound healing problems compared to the standard 5-6 week schedule. Researchers will also track if the shorter treatment is as effective at controlling the cancer and maintaining patients' quality of life.
