VA researchers develop faster PTSD treatment to keep veterans in therapy
NCT ID NCT05220137
Summary
This study aims to create a shorter, more effective version of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for Veterans with PTSD. Many Veterans drop out of the standard 12-session treatment due to time constraints and other barriers. Researchers are testing which therapy components work best to deliver effective treatment in fewer sessions, helping more Veterans complete therapy and reduce their PTSD symptoms.
