Scientists test quicker radiation to fight returning prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT03388619
Summary
This study tested a shorter, more targeted radiation schedule for men whose prostate cancer returned after surgery. Researchers aimed to see if delivering radiation over 2-4 weeks, instead of the usual 6-7, was safe and caused manageable side effects. They also tested if they could safely give a higher dose to visible tumors while lowering the dose to the surrounding area.
