Could a 3-Hour balloon cut labor induction time by 6 hours?

NCT ID NCT07492186

First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study compares a 3-hour versus a 12-hour placement of a double-balloon catheter to start labor in pregnant women. Researchers want to see if the shorter time can reduce the total time from induction to birth by at least 6 hours, without increasing C-sections or risks. About 280 women with a single baby in head-down position will take part.
