Summary
This study tested whether a treatment called extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) can reduce stiffness in the upper trapezius muscle, a common area for neck tension. Researchers used a special ultrasound technique to measure muscle stiffness before and after treatment in 40 healthy adults. The goal was to understand if ESWT can improve muscle function and reduce discomfort.
