First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether involving pregnant women in decisions about their planned C-section can lower pain during the procedure. About 80 women having an elective C-section under spinal anesthesia will take part. Half will receive a shared decision-making session before surgery, and the other half will get standard care. The goal is to see if this patient-centered approach reduces pain and improves the overall experience.
