Diabetes pill tested to fight lung cancer
NCT ID NCT07272057
Summary
This study is testing whether a common type 2 diabetes pill (SGLT2 inhibitor) can help people who have both advanced lung cancer and diabetes. Researchers want to see if adding this pill to standard cancer treatment helps patients live longer or slows the cancer's growth. They will also monitor for any heart-related side effects. The study will compare a group taking the diabetes pill to a group taking other diabetes medications.
