NCT ID NCT06491953

First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a type of diabetes medicine called SGLT2 inhibitors can prevent kidney injury caused by the dye used during heart procedures like angioplasty. About 3,600 adults having heart treatment will be studied. The goal is to see if these drugs, which are already known to help the heart and kidneys long-term, can also protect kidneys right after the procedure.
