Scientists probe why Women's brains may suffer more from metabolic syndrome
NCT ID NCT07218653
Summary
This study aims to understand how Metabolic Syndrome (a cluster of conditions like high blood pressure and obesity) affects blood flow to the brain. Researchers believe it may reduce blood flow more in women than in men, partly due to differences in how a specific enzyme works. The study will compare 72 healthy adults with those who have Metabolic Syndrome using exercise tests, brain scans (MRI), and cognitive assessments.
