Tracking a gut crisis: can we predict who needs surgery?
NCT ID NCT03907631
Summary
This study aims to understand why some patients hospitalized with a severe flare of ulcerative colitis need surgery while others can be treated with medication. Researchers will closely track 189 adult patients during their hospital stay and afterwards to collect detailed health data. The goal is to find patterns that help doctors predict the best treatment path for each patient sooner.
